about

This is a song about love. Tracked live with guys having fun (we were out of time but somehow pressured Roscoe to just do one more). Trumpet by Roscoe. I piano plunked and sang falsetto. We used Steve Tagliere's rough guitar solo because it felt so right and chaotic. Like good love.

lyrics

You got to know
i'm always ready for the show
and if you and I are to ever really know
then it's sorry once again
there's something rotten in the end
and my dogs are howling
should you ever need to know

I'm always ready for the show

one more night like this
you know the danger in a simple kiss

I'm always ready for the show.

one more night like this
you know the danger in a simple kiss

I never guessed
you needed something off your chest
but who am i to gamble when the lights are low
and it's sorry once again
there's something rotten in the end
and my dogs are howling
should you ever need to know
I'm always ready for the show.
